July 5th we caught a 60lb. Cobia on 20 pound Vicious Braided line and 30lb. test fluorocarbon leader. The Quantum 40 reel did a great job in subduing the fish with a super smooth drag system.

Capt. JohnI just wanted to say Thanks for a great charter! Ann and I had a blast. Anyway, We ate the fish Thursday night with Chefs Paul’s seasoning Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Blackened Redfish Magic Seasoning Blends, 2 oz (Pack of 6)Ann did a filet of Red on the Grill, I blackened the other and snapper. Then fried the rest.They all turned out excellent!
Here’s the one Pic of Ann and I with her Snook. Could you email us the photos you have on your phone? The ones I have with the Red aren’t that great.

Just wanted to say thanks again for the great day on the water we had last Sunday. Of course my wife catching the only redfish AND hitting the triple will be something I won’t soon live down! We also used both of the recipes you gave for the mackerel, redfish, trout and flounder – all were delicious.

~ John, we had another great fishing trip with you last week! I can’t say enough about your skill with fishing and boat handling, your patients with myself (losing hooks) and my boys who had a wonderful time and caught a lot of fish. We look forward to fishing with you every time we visit Florida. We had a big fish fry and my father-in-law was able to feed several neighbors in his condos. I do have to say I’m still thinking about that big Snook that broke off in the mangrove roots. We’ll get him next year! Young James Bradley battled this big snook for over fifteen minutes, and she was released unharmed. It was a fight of a lifetime. Michael, James’s dad hooked the fish and turned the rod over to James to bring her in, and he did a great job.. all smiles
I’m sorry that it has taken me awhile to get these pictures to you, but I was waiting on the girls to send me some of the pictures from their phones. So far, these are the best of the pictures I have.
Wow, how do I even begin to thank you for such an amazing fishing trip? We had such a blast with you during our time and truly enjoyed catching all of those fish. I would recommend you to anyone who asks about fishing charters in the Tampa Bay area.
This fishing charter was something that Miranda (Bird) and I have wanted to do for a long time, and we can’t thank you enough for making our day perfect. Not only are you an amazing captain, but your just a great person and we really appreciate everything you did for us during our charter. AND on top of everything you gave us one great recipe for our fish (I included a picture of the very yummy finished project)! Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. I look forward to the day I can go out fishing with you again.

Capt. John: I just wanted to say thank you again for a great trip and some great memories this past Thursday. My wife Debbie and I squeaked in two days off while the boys were out of town and we had a blast fishing with you on one of those days. The action was hot and the Snook cooperative. I will say this is our second trip out with you and it won’t be our last. Our next trip will include the two boys (11 and 14) and we will target numbers of fish and a fun time to be had by all. I appreciate you letting us target Snook on our trip on Thursday. I fully understand the trials and tribulations that have been placed on this great game fish and it is an honor for my wife and I to be able to catch these magnificent fighters. After this past winter I know to target this species you must be very careful to treat them with the respect they deserve, handle them gently and get them back in the water and revived quickly to fight again another day and reproduce. I hope we showed you that we do very much respect this species and look forward to the next time of doing battle with these brutes. This was by far my largest snook ever caught and I look forward to the opportunity of breaking my new record again on a future charter with you. My wife had a blast fighting the Snook and the Jacks and she can’t wait to get out there again with the two boys for more tight lines, bent rods, smiling faces and memories of a lifetime. Below is a picture of Jack Buckle and myself Richard Jones on our fishing trip on your boat. Again, I want to tell you how much we enjoyed this fishing excursion. I have been on a number of charters over the years and the one aboard your boat has been the been the best so far. We are looking forward to making this a twice a year activity starting in 2010. While we didn’t measure the bigger redfish, I was able to get a measurement from the photograph and comparing it to a known dimension in the picture. It was approximately 42 1/4 inches
